Pepsi 500 Fans Will Attempt To Break Guinness World Record For Largest Bingo Game
Race fans attending the Pepsi 500 at Auto Club Speedway on Sunday, August 31, will not only see a great Sprint Cup Series race, they will have a chance to set a Guinness World RecordÔ, and be entered into a drawing for $20,000 in cash prizes. The Speedway is partnering with San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino to bring the game of bingo to the thousands of fans attending the Pepsi 500 in an effort to reclaim San Manuel's world title for the "Largest Bingo House". San Manuel first gained the title of "Largest Bingo House" in July 2006, when they broke the Guinness World RecordÔ with more than 53,000 bingo participants at Dodger Stadium. The following year, a group in Columbia beat San Manuel's record, which San Manuel will attempt to win back with the participation of the tens of thousands of NASCAR fans who will be attending Labor Day’s biggest party at Auto Club Speedway. At the Pepsi 500, San Manuel will turn the Speedway into a temporary open-air bingo hall, with everyone in attendance receiving a bingo card to play. The bingo game will be called before the race and cash prizes will be awarded to winning participants. All winning cards will be entered into a random drawing, where $20,000 in cash prizes will be awarded.
