Flipping and flying nearly three stories over a distance of almost 100 feet, Metal Mulisha freestyle motocross pros and California natives Brian Deegan, Derek Garland, Todd Potter, and Jonny Ebenal are returning to Auto Club Speedway on Saturday, April 28th and Sunday, April 29th during the AMA Suzuki Superbike Challenge weekend.
Brian Deegan, the Metal Mulisha co-founder, is one of the most influential riders of freestyle motocross and continues to redefine the sport he helped pioneer. Deegan has collected more X-Games and Gravity games metals than any other competitor and has appeared on the cover of Racer X Illustrated, Transworld Motocross, Free rider MX, and several other major publications.
Riding along side Deegan will be Pro Freestyler and X-Games judge, Todd Potter, and rising star Pro Freestyler, Jonny Ebenal, who wows the crowd with moves like his "One-Handed Whip".
Motocross freestylist Derek Garland started riding a BMX bike when he was four years old. For is ninth birthday, Garland received his first motorcycle, a 1986 KDX 80. He enjoyed free riding and finding jumps on the hills with his friends. With lots of practice and help from a friend, Cameron Steele, Garland was able to get sponsorship, and in the last few years, he has been traveling around the world doing shows with Metal Mulisha.
Metal Mulisha will perform three shows on Saturday and Sunday by the Lifestyle Expo in the midway. Following the stunt demos, there will be an autograph session for fans to see their favorite freestyle motocross pros up close and personal.
