The rumbling of stock car engines and the scream of Ferrari engines will fill the Auto Club Speedway landscape on Saturday, August 11th, for a unique gathering of racing machines.

The NASCAR Grand National Division, West Series and the Ferrari Challenge will share the speedway's 2.8-mile road course.  For the NASCAR racers, the West Series 150 will be the first time they have ventured off the speedway’s two-mile D-shaped oval and onto the competition road course, which opened in 2002.  This road course test will be the third road course event for the West Series participants on the 2007 schedule.  The speedway’s event will be the penultimate round on the 13-race schedule for the Grand National West Series championship.

The sleek Ferraris have circuited the road course on a few different occasions since the road course opened.

The Ferrari Challenge portion of the weekend will actually start on Friday with on-track action starting at 9 a.m. and concluding at 5 p.m.  Saturday’s schedule kicks off with Ferraris on track from 8 a.m. to 9:20 a.m., followed by the first round of West Series practice.  The Ferraris will have three other sessions during the day, including a one-hour sprint session from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.  West Series "Happy Hour" is from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and qualifying is slated for 4 p.m.  The West Series feature will roll off at 6:30 p.m. On Sunday, it’s Ferraris all day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
