NASCAR Sprint Cup Stars To Appear In Laughlin Party Zone During Pepsi 500 Race Weekend

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers Kevin Harvick, Clint Bowyer, Kurt Busch, AJ Allmendinger and Sterling Marlin are scheduled to appear at the Laughlin Party Zone during Labor Day’s biggest party, the Pepsi 500 weekend at Auto Club Speedway. Richard Childress will also make an appearance on Sunday, August 31, giving Southern California race fans the opportunity to ask questions of both their favorite drivers and one of the top team owners in NASCAR.

The Laughlin Party Zone is located near the Opportunity, California FanZone, and is the only place this Labor Day weekend where fans will have the chance to see NASCAR drivers during exclusive Q&A sessions, and enjoy tasty treats and frosty beverages-all in the air- conditioned Party Zone tent outside Turn Four.  Flat screen televisions, celebrity appearances, misters, pit passes and live entertainment make the Laughlin Party Zone a great value and the spot to be at Auto Club Speedway.

The location is close to Wolfgang Puck’s Apex restaurant, the concert stage, Impulse - the Speedway’s full service retail store - and includes newly-expanded shade and lounge features. Laughlin Party Zone ticket holders will also receive a pit pass for each day they purchase a ticket to the hospitality area, which has easy access to pit road through the tunnel at Gate 18.

Party Zone Driver Appearance Schedule as of 8/7/08:

Gates to the Laughlin Party Zone open at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday and 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, and close when the green flag drops for each race.   Laughlin Party Zone tickets must be pre-purchased and each person in attendance must have a Party Zone wristband and a grandstand ticket or Infield wristband. A single-day Pit Pass is included for each single-day purchase.  All driver appearances are tentative and subject to change. Space is limited so fans are encouraged to reserve a spot today
