Actress Angie Harmon Named Honorary Starter For The Auto Club 500
SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, CALIF. (February 20, 2009) – Auto Club Speedway announced today that husband and wife duo Angie Harmon, best known for her starring role as Assistant District Attorney ‘Abbie Carmichael’ on NBC’s Emmy-Award winning drama Law & Order and former New York Giants defensive back Jason Sehorn will serve as Honorary Starter and Honorary Race Official, respectively, for the Auto Club 500 this Sunday, February 22nd.
Harmon, with Sehorn at her side, will wave the green flag from atop the flag stand on the start/finish line to get NASCAR’s West Coast Premiere underway.
Harmon was most recently seen starring in the original Lifetime Television Movie “Living Proof” with executive producer Renee Zellweger. Harmon portrayed the role real-life breast cancer activist and philanthropist Lilly Tartikoff. She will next be seen guest starring in an upcoming episode of ABC’s hit comedy series “Samantha Who.”
