Reality TV Stars Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott Take On The Two Wheel Action Of The Suzuki AMA Pro Superbike Challenge

San Bernardino County, Calif. (March 20, 2009) – Stars collide at Auto Club Speedway when husband and wife duo Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott take on the two wheel action of this weekend’s Suzuki AMA Pro Superbike Challenge at Auto Club Speedway, March 20-22.

In addition to watching the AMA Pro Road Racing events with Spelling, McDermott is scheduled to take a lap around the Auto Club Speedway road course Saturday on the National Guard/Michael Jordan Motorsports Suzuki GSX-R two-rider bike with former motorcycle road racing champion Jason Pridmore.  McDermott is also an aspiring motorcycle road racer.
 
Along with Spelling and McDermott, who star on Oxygen's hit reality series "Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood," race fans can expect a full weekend of entertainment with the Suzuki AMA Pro Superbike Challenge.  The AMA Pro race weekend at Auto Club Speedway means great on-track action with the AMA Pro Road Racing series’ AMA Pro National Guard American Superbike, AMA Pro Daytona SportBike presented by AMSOIL and AMA Pro SuperSport presented by Shoei divisions.  

In additional to the race action, fans will enjoy all the activities of the Suzuki AMA Pro Superbike Challenge including:

Opportunity, California Motorcycle Expo
Featured in the Opportunity, California Motorcycle Expo will be bike manufacturers Suzuki, Ducati, Kawaski and Aprilia.   Motorcycle enthusiasts will want to peruse the manufacturers display booths as each bike manufacturer will showcase their 2009 models and rider gear. 

Families won’t want to miss the Youth Road Racing motorcycle course in the Opportunity, California Motorcycle Expo.  Youth Road Racing offers youth riders a place to learn safe and effective motorcycle racing skills in a family friendly environment. Visit their motorcycle course in the Opportunity, California Motorcycle Expo and see kids of all ages, put their racing skills to the test.  

Buell will also be at the Opportunity, California Motorcycle Expo with FREE motorcycle demo rides for fans.


AMA Pro Riders Autograph Session
On Sunday, March 22nd between 12:15 p.m. - 1:00 p.m., the AMA Pro riders will be signing your favorite rider memorabilia at the east end of the garages, closest to Turn 1. Ben Bostrom (No. 2 Yamaha Motor Corp. USA Yamaha R1), winner of the AMA Pro Daytona SportBike 2009 season opener- the Daytona 200, will be among the many riders in attendance.


Motorcycle Parade Lap
Race fans looking for something hands on, get suited up for the Motorcycle Parade Lap.  At noon on both Saturday, March 21st and Sunday, March 22nd fans can get a piece of the action by purchasing a Motorcycle Fan Lap for $10.  Amateur riders can get right on the track and ride on same road course the AMA Pro riders will race on later that day.  Fans riding in the Motorcycle Parade Lap must wear a helmet, sign a waiver, and obey speed rules set forth by leaders of the parade laps.  Riders must be 18 years or older.

Pit Passes
Get access to Pit Road by adding $20 to your admission ticket.  Fans that purchase a Pit Pass will get up-close and personal to riders and their teams and new for 2009, fans can experience the exclusive opportunity to walk the grid during Opening Ceremonies.  Pit Passes are great for each family member to enjoy, since there are no age requirements.
