Auto Club Speedway’s Kids Club Mascot Lefty Celebrates Cinco De Mayo
First of many events local children can interact with Lefty
SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, Calif. (May 5, 2009) - Auto Club Speedway’s Kids Club mascot Lefty celebrated Cinco de Mayo at King Taco located at the Speedway’s Opportunity, California FanZone. Today’s celebration kicked off the first of many events Inland Empire children and their families can interact with the walking, talking mascot in the coming months.
“The chance to be at so many community events, to talk with the kids and hang out with their families is way better than working in the office” exclaimed Lefty. “Not only am I so excited to get out and about, but the Speedway is super happy when I talk about some of the things coming up like the Pepsi 500, the first ever Chase Race in California on Oct.11th!”
Before Lefty enjoys the festivities of the Pepsi 500 at Auto Club Speedway, he’ll make a pit stop at the Riverside County Regional Medial Center for the annual Kids Health & Safety Fair. Children and their families can visit Lefty at the Kids Health & Safety Fair, a free event at the Mission Grove Plaza, 321 E. Alessandro Blvd., Riverside CA on Saturday, May 9th between 9am-3pm.
Lefty is scheduled to be at a variety of community events throughout the Inland Empire. Please visit www.autoclubspeedway.com/kidsclub periodically for more information. Organizations interested in having Lefty at their event can call 909.429.5207.
