Auto Club Speedway Announces 2010 Schedule
San Bernardino County, Calif. (Sept. 16, 2009) – Auto Club Speedway continues to be the premiere motorsports facility of Southern California, attracting major sanctioning bodies for events again in 2010. NASCAR, American Motorcycle Association and the National Hot Rod Association all plan on making stops at Auto Club Speedway next year, as well as a return engagement for one of Southern California’s biggest 4th of July Celebrations – Red, White & Cruise. And of course, Hollywood will no doubt make a stop or two for movie or series tapings as they did several times in 2009.
While Auto Club Speedway is active nearly 365 days a year, below are a few events race fans are sure to enjoy next year:
Auto Club 500, February 21, 2010; Pepsi 500, October 10, 2010
Auto Club Speedway is proud to host two NASCAR race weekends. February 21, 2010 the West Coast Premiere of NASCAR returns with the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race -- the Auto Club 500. October 10, 2010 marks the sophomore year since the Pepsi 500 took its place as the fourth race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup playoff season.
AMERICAN MOTORCYCLIST ASSOCIATION (AMA)
Suzuki AMA Pro Superbike Challenge, March 26-28, 2010
On the heels of the Auto Club 500, the nation’s top motorcycle riders will compete in the Suzuki AMA Pro Superbike Challenge at Auto Club Speedway’s 2.36-mile, 21-turn layout motorcycle course. Race fans looking for a high-octane adrenalin rush, won’t want to miss the Suzuki AMA Pro Superbike Challenge at Auto Club Speedway, March 26-28, 2010.

Auto Club Dragway is the championship, quarter-mile premier drag racing facility in Southern California. Located north of the Auto Club Speedway backstretch, the dragstrip is home to NHRA drag racing and street legal races. RED, WHITE AND CRUISE, 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION
Summertime at Auto Club Speedway includes one of the largest and most spectacular 4th of July celebrations in Southern California – the K-FROG “Red, White and Cruise presented by Stater Bros. and Pepsi” 4th of July extravaganza. This past Independence Day, tens of thousands of Southern Californians enjoyed this day-long community festival filled with live musical entertainment from American Idol fifth-season winner Taylor Hicks and country music sensation Jimmy Wayne; the high-flying, gravity-defying demonstrations of the Moto-X stunt team Metal Mulisha; historic car cruise and car show; the 30-minute star-spangled musical score fireworks show and much more. Southern Californians can expect this and even more fun at next year’s “Red, White and Cruise” 4th of July celebration at Auto Club Speedway.
HSR WEST HISTORIC SPORTS CAR FESTIVAL
The Ninth Annual Southern California Historic Sports Car Festival makes its way back to Auto Club Speedway June 25-27. This event offers a wide range of activities beyond racing, including sports car shows, a vendor area, car club corrals, kids events and so much more.
Auto Club Speedway continues to serve as a popular backdrop for many of today’s television programs and commercial spots. In 2009, the NBC hit show “The Biggest Loser” taped a segment for its show at ACS, with a little help from NASCAR driver Clint Bowyer who make a special appearance on a March episode. Hamburger Helper taped one of its latest TV spots, starring Bowyer, at the Speedway. The HBO hit comedy series Entourage, made a stop as did Tori Spelling and husband Dean McDermott’s Oxygen network reality show Home Sweet Hollywood.

To experience the fast-paced thrills of Auto Club Speedway, fans don’t have to wait for 2010.
