IN THE MIDST OF A HEART ATTACK, FRANTIC CALL TO 911 LEADS TO COUPLE GETTING MARRIED AT AUTO CLUB SPEEDWAY

~ Michael and Jacquie taking part in unique 10/10/10 Race Day Wedding ~

San Bernardino County, Calif. (July 20, 2010) – After several failed attempts at a first date, Mike, a volunteer firefighter finally got his date with Jacquie, a paramedic, a year after he called 911 while experiencing a heart attack.  Ironically, she was the paramedic on call that provided his care.  Since that first date, they have been inseparable. “Mike taught me everything I know about NASCAR,” shared Jacquie. “Now I understand NASCAR and love it. We are very excited about coming to the Auto Club Speedway for the race and our wedding day.”

Stories like this are just one of many that participants in Auto Club Speedway’s 10/10/10 Wedding Package have to share.  They’ve all agreed that the 10/10/10 Race Day wedding is already one they won’t forget, 10/10/10 (October 10, 2010) – the same day that NASCAR roars back to Auto Club Speedway for the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup playoff race – the Pepsi MAX 400 on 10/10/10.

And if you’re still on the fence about this quirky date and location for your special day, don’t be.  Join the following couples, and so many more, who are making 10/10/10 an anniversary they’ll never forget.

• Buck and Paula:  Buck and Paula’s passion for fast cars comes from owning and racing dragsters for years. With racing in their blood, their grandson Jordan drove the last car Buck built, carrying on the family legacy in racing.  Both enjoy watching NASCAR races together and look forward to renewing their wedding vows on their anniversary weekend at the Speedway.

• Evan and Kayleigh:  Shortly after being married in 2008, Evan was deployed to Iraq.  “Whoever said, ‘absence makes the heart grow fonder’ was right,” said Kayleigh.  While Evan was in Iraq he asked Kayleigh to marry him again, promising that renewing their vows would be a fresh start since he would return home for good this summer. More than once, Evan would say "I can't wait to be home with my beautiful wife and NASCAR."  So they decided to do just that.  Evan and Kayleigh will renew their wedding vows when NASCAR returns to Auto Club Speedway on 10/10/10.

Three special 10/10/10 Wedding and Vow Renewal Packages (Let’s Get Hitched, Tie the Knot and Wedding Bells) await the potential bride and groom as they plan a lifetime together and the happily married couples wanting to celebrate their union by renewing their vows. All three packages will include the following:
