Auto Club Speedway Director Honored

SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, Calif. (April 5, 2011) – For the second time since 2008, Otis Greer, Director of Community Affairs at Auto Club Speedway, has been honored with the Distinguished Volunteer of the Year award from the Diocese of San Bernardino.

“I am humbled, but by no means do I think I am the only volunteer that gives their personal time, I am one of many,” said Greer.  “I feel like I am just lending a hand and am flattered to have received this award.”

From basketball to track and field, Greer has been a loyal supporter and active volunteer in sports programs at Sacred Heart Parish School in Rancho Cucamonga for the past eight years.  His dedication has helped K-8 students stay interested and become more active in physical fitness.

In addition to volunteering his personal time, Greer can also be found giving back through his position at Auto Club Speedway, ironically where he started as a volunteer.  Whether it is a Speedway reading challenge or simply reaching out to Auto Club Speedway’s neighbors, he takes pride in working with the local community.
