Southern California Historic Sports Car Festival Makes a Stop at Auto Club Speedway
SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, Calif. (June 22, 2011) – The 10th Annual Southern California Historic Sports Car Festival will roll into Auto Club Speedway, June 24-26 with a new entry included in the nostalgic weekend.
Can-Am cars, among the first race cars to sport wings, join the vintage lineup this year along with more than 125 cars, from Porsches and MGs to pre-2005 historic stock cars, competing in nine different groups including Small and Medium Bore Production, 2.0 Liter FIA Sports Cars, Indy and Formula One.
Racing won’t be the only thing on the weekend’s festivities lineup. Fans can also walk the paddock area, photograph the vintage cars and take a history lesson as poster boards telling the story of the cars will be placed at each vehicle. In addition, a variety of vendors, car club corrals, kids events and a sports car show all await race fans at Auto Club Speedway.
