Fontana, CA – August 10, 2015 – Auto Club Speedway’s partnership with the California Fire Foundation (CFF) raised over $7,700 at the recent NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Auto Club 400 race to support the service and sacrifice made by Firefighters.

“Our partnership with the CFF has been a rewarding experience” said Dave Allen, President of Auto Club Speedway. “It’s an opportunity to honor our fallen heroes, support their families and provide the firefighting community a day of fun and entertainment during our NASCAR race weekend.”

Auto Club Speedway works closely with the first responder community to create special ticket packages where a portion of the ticket price is collected as a donation to go back to select non-profits to support fallen peace officers, firefighters, and their families.

Auto Club Speedway’s partnership with the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, California Fire Foundation and the California Peace Officers Memorial Foundation, raised over $21,000 during the 2015 Auto Club 400 NASCAR race to support the service and sacrifice made by first responders.

Each year during the Auto Club 400, a First Responder Appreciation hospitality area is located in the O’ Reilly Auto Parts Fan Zone. First responders and families enjoyed a Q&A with NASCAR driver, Aric Almirola, bag pipe performances, and fire truck and emergency vehicle displays.
