Kenseth Wins Auto Club 500

Roush Fenway Racing continued their mastery of Auto Club Speedway at today's Auto Club 500 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series race. Matt Kenseth led 129 laps, including the final 23, to earn a trip to Gatorade Victory Lane. The win marks the second Cup victory for Kenseth at California, as he was victorious at last year's Auto Club 500.

Kenseth Continues California Dominance

Despite a late charge by Casey Mears, Matt Kenseth led the final 22 laps at Auto Club Speedway to win the Stater Bros. 300 on Saturday night and continue his, and Roush Fenway Racing's, dominance of the 2-mile speedway.

Jeff Gordon to Start on the Pole at Sunday's Auto Club 500

Jeff Gordon turned in a fastest lap of 38.765 seconds (185.735 mph) at Auto Club Speedway today, earning the pole for Sunday's Auto Club 500 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series race.

Matt Kenseth Inducted Into Auto Club Speedway's Walk of Fame

Throughout his successful racing career, NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series driver Matt Kenseth (No. 17 DeWalt) has collected many plaques, trophies and other awards to display on his mantle. Kenseth was honored today with an accolade that won't leave Auto Club Speedway—a plaque with his likeness, as well as his footprint and signature cemented—literally—into history on Auto Club Speedway's Walk of Fame.
