Special features of the new Midway include: ¿ Town center ¿ Full service retail store ¿ Concert stage ¿ Accessible bridge (west of midway) ¿ Full service outdoor café with cuisine by world-renowned chef Wolfgang Puck ¿ Modified entry gates (Gate 10 and Gate 16) ¿ New ticket sales and will call location at Gate 16 ¿ Expanded hospitality areas ¿ Radio broadcast locations ¿ Designated SPEED Stage location ¿ Giant video walls ¿ Tram turnarounds ¿ Leisure areas ¿ Grass and water accents ¿ Cobblestone pavers at entry gates and hospitality entrances
Footprint of new midway will increase from 12.2 acres to 23.8 acres (area inside the fence, excluding the areas east of the Chalet Village entrance). Hospitality areas have grown from 1.7 acres to 3.9 acres. Party Zone will have a new, expanded footprint on the west side of the midway.
North American Testing Company (NATC), a design and construction subsidiary of ISC, will oversee the architectural, design and construction of the Midway project.
