All Play And No Work!
In addition to thrilling NASCAR action, California Speedway will be the site of a weekend full of entertainment with visits by a host of special guests. Twenty-five-time Grammy Award winner Stevie Wonder will be serving as the race's Grand Marshal on Sunday for the Sharp AQUOS 500. Platinum recording artist 30 Seconds to Mars will be performing during the Miller Lite Rock 'n Racing concert in the Opportunity, California FanZone at 2:30pm on Sunday. Other musical performances throughout the weekend include Los Angeles-area rock bands Melee and Little Caesar, country singer/songwriter Peter Brandon and Latin alternative band Volumen Cero.
In addition to live musical performances, Speedway visitors will again be thrilled by the high-flying stunts of the Metal Mulisha on Saturday and Sunday - including autograph sessions both days. The California Sea Lion Encounter will return to the Opportunity, California FanZone and the weekend will also mark the unveiling of the world's first mobile 3-D cinema. The Kerner 3-D Experience is a 30-foot three-dimensional movie screen set inside a 10,000 square foot tented and air conditioned theater.
