Top Riders In All Classes To Race At Suzuki AMA Pro SuperBike Challenge, March 26-28 At Auto Club Speedway

SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, Calif.  (March 24, 2010) – Auto Club Speedway will play host to the nation’s top motorcycle riders when the Suzuki AMA Pro SuperBike Challenge comes to Southern California March 26-28.

Three classes will provide excitement on the Auto Club Speedway 2.36 mile, 21-turn road course throughout the weekend.

AMA Pro Racing’s top class of motorcycles, the AMA Pro National Guard American SuperBike, was long dominated by Mat Mladin.  With his retirement, the field is now “wide open.”  The one to watch in 2010 is Jake Zemke, riding the National Guard Team Jordan Suzuki.  Zemke is coming off a double win earlier this month at Daytona.  Others looking to keep up with Zemke include Rockstar/Makita Suzuki rider Tommy Hayden, Pegram Racing’s Larry Pegram, Jordan Suzuki’s Aaron Yates and Team Graves Yamaha’s Josh Hayes.

In the AMA Pro Daytona SportBike presented by AMSOIL class, Suzuki rider Danny Eslick is on a hot streak at Auto Club Speedway.  The Oklahoma native dominated the Auto Club Speedway road course last year by winning both races during the weekend.  Other top names include Team Graves Yamaha riders Josh Herrin and Tommy Aquino and M4 Suzuki rider Martin Cardenas.

The third class to race during the Suzuki AMA Pro SuperBike Challenge weekend is AMA Pro SuperSport.  This class is a proving ground for new, young talent to show their skills as they race against expert licensed local riders.  This year 16-year-old Elena Myers acquires the “one to watch” moniker.  Myers is currently third in the West rider standings after Daytona.  Others to watch include Huntley Nash and Joey Pascarella.
