Refusing to let groovy go, Auto Club Speedway and Vons will resurrect the disco scene for an entire evening themed “NITE FEVER” for its infield guests during NASCAR’s Auto Club 400 Weekend March 18-20.

So break out your platform shoes, bell bottoms, velour shirts, culottes and oh yea, your roller skates.  That’s right. Thanks to Vons, in addition to everything 70s, the Southern California supermarket chain will sponsor a disco essential – the ever popular roller skating rink!  And if your ‘bootin’ skates are rusty, no worries as you can rent them on site.

Then, add The Disco Kings, a super-charged L.A. area 70s tribute band playing all the greatest hits from the 70s dance era on Saturday night and voila – the disco scene is back in full force. With outrageous 70s era clothing and music that will take you back, The Disco Kings will groove on all your favorite tunes from KC and the Sunshine Band to Chic to the Bee Gees.  Catch my drift?

Need more?  Hundreds of infield guests can decorate their bicycles with glow sticks and neon lights as part of the Speedway’s Annual Infield Pedal Party on Saturday night as well.

In addition to sponsoring the skating rink, Vons will be on site during NASCAR’s Auto Club 400 Weekend to provide an array of grocery needs to infield guests from its 5,000-square foot store will open its doors on Thursday, March 17 through Sunday, March 20.

Although the disco scene will only be prevalent in the infield, don’t let that bum you out.  There’s plenty of cool happenings in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Fan Zone including motorcycle stunt shows, concerts and a boss Kids Zone.  So, be there, or be square.  How?
